Interim Pastor: The Reverend Dr. Robert W. Shook has been selected to serve our congregation as the Stated Supply ( part-time 50% ). Joe is an Honorably Retired minister of the Albany Presbytery and most recently served the First Presbyterian Church of Albany as Interim Pastor.  A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Joe received Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He has served churches in Kentucky, Oklahoma, Michigan, Wisconsin, and New York.

 

 

Fellowship after Sunday Worship: Every Sunday, all are welcomed to coffee and doughnuts and an opportunity to socialize in the  Parlor. This is a wonderful way and time to meet new people and find out what is happening in the life of Jermain.

 

Soup Sale: Soup is for sale after worship. Come pick up something for lunch or supper. We need more people to help make these soups / stews. Talk to Nancy or Marlene if you have any questions.

 Jermain  Memories: The Church is compiling a booklet of past memories that present and former members have of the Church from years ago. Please send any input that you have to the Church office. Any photos from Church events from years ago that we could borrow and reproduce would be greatly appreciated. Florence Service, a past member of our church, kept a scrapbook of clippings about Jermain events. Her nephew, David Fowler, brought in the scrapbook for us to add to our Church history. More photocopies from that scrapbook will be available in the near future. /scrapbook.aspx

 

Thrift Shop:  We need voluntters  to sort, organize, and price the new items for the Thrift Shop. More volunteers are needed to assist in running the Shop.  We need you even for an hour or two to carry boxes, make pickups.  Call Chris at 273-5635 (Office) or 273-8220 (Nancy) for more information on the Thrift Shop. /thriftshop.aspx

Musical Talents ?: We are starting something new and exciting to our Sunday morning worship service. We would like to invite anyone who can sing or play a musical instrument to come and share with us your musical talents. Our music director / organist ( Steve Wahl ) who would be glad to assist / accompany  you.The Church Choir meets for practice at 10:10 am before Sunday worship.

 

RADA Knives for Sale: The Jermain Women have a supply of RADA cutlery to sell including grapefruit knives, pie servers - mini servers, utility / steak knives, bread slicers, ice cream scoop, tomato slicers, granny forks, stubby butcher knives, carving forks, cook's spoons, old fashioned butcher knives, super spreaders for making sandwiches. On display at "Christmas in July" Sale (see above). Other items can be ordered from the catalog. Call Marlene Johnston at 273-4994 for information.
